At the beginning of the year, Alkimia Interactive, developing Gothic Remake, had a little pampering fans, releasing two new concept arts-rats-plot and harpies. It is not surprising that gamers are looking forward to everyone, even the most insignificant, announcement from the developers.
Yesterday, on the Gothic Community channel, a message appeared containing two photos of Kai Rosencranets (below) – a music composer for the original and remake – with the signature: "What do you think is happening here?". It would seem nothing, but "Hungry" Gamers began to replay each other in conjecture.
Among the more or less likely answers, two prevailed:
- that Rosencrantz was supposed to voice one of the characters (it is assumed that the developers are trying to use the actors who participated in the original, but for obvious reasons this is not always possible) ;;
- that Rosencrantz simply worked on the soundtrack and was close to its completion (some are trying to connect this with the German group in extremo, which was initially supposed to appear in the original).
Some fans tried to solve what was written on the sheets of paper visible in the photographs. Such a discussion flared up that the main interested party joined it in the end. Unfortunately, Kai Rosencrantz did not help the community in revealing secrets. Instead, a German commented on the whole situation with humor:

Today Alkimia Interactive has released the first episode of the podcast about Gothic Remake. Kai Rosencrantz and Rainhard Pollis, executive producer of the game participate in it. Their conversation is designed to introduce players for the curtains of the production process. You can listen to it below.
However, keep in mind that from this episode we will not learn anything new. The developers tell their own stories, say that the most important thing for them is in the Gothic universe, and briefly discuss the changes in the original that will be included in the remake (we know about them from the session of the questions and answers that I talked above). All this, however, is extremely atmospheric. The first few minutes resemble the beginning of the first part.
ThQ Nordic – the publisher of Gothic Remake – announced the exhibition of his games. ThQ Nordic Digital Showcase will take place on August 11, and one of the works that we will see on it will be the work of Alkimia Interactive.
